About the position

The position involves working within Arm's Solution Engineering team to develop solutions that enhance architectural RTL and system inputs for physical design, focusing on low-power design and UPF strategy for various IPs and subsystems. The role emphasizes automation for design collateral preparation and integration of both internal and third-party IPs, with opportunities for leading product-level implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Define methodology and automation for low power design.
  • Drive end-to-end strategy and automation for UPF constructs, IP, and multi-die power design.
  • Develop automation to prepare incoming design collateral for physical implementation, including physical aware RTL restructuring and connectivity analysis.
  • Generate SDC and UPF, pipelines, and feedthrough for physical design.
  • Develop strategy and roll-out automation for RTL, ECO version control, QoR, and tapeout tracking.
  • Analyze requirements and develop CAD solutions, including integration with external EDA tools.
  • Lead product implementation in collaboration with internal design teams, foundries, and partners.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with low power design for complex SoCs.
  • Strong understanding of timing, power, and physical design.
  • Expertise in front-end design tools and flows.
  • Outstanding expertise in EDA tool-flows and large-scale automation delivery.
  • Strong coding proficiency in Python, C, and Tcl.
  • Proficiency with version control systems like git, distributed processing, and disk management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multi-die SoC design flows, RTL partitioning, power estimation, and gate level simulation.
  • Ability to work with evolving problem statements and solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective collaboration with multi-functional teams.
