About the position

The Principal Machine Learning Scientist at CoreLogic will lead diverse AI projects, focusing on machine learning techniques applied to structured and unstructured data, including imagery and text. This role emphasizes ownership, continuous learning, and collaboration within a hybrid-remote team environment. The position involves model training, validation, deployment, and client interaction, contributing to the advancement of property intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform model training and validation using various types of machine learning techniques on structured/unstructured data, including imagery, text, and graphs.
  • Support deployment of models.
  • Perform work in a cloud-based Linux environment.
  • Present model performance to clients and prospects.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales analytic support and interact with both internal and external clients and prospects.
  • Create model reports for client review and model documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain programs and documentation for analytic models.
  • Conduct defined quantitative and qualitative research projects independently and communicate research results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take a team leadership role in developing and refining an analytics development platform.
  • Mentor and train junior colleagues.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or higher in machine learning, science, math, statistics, engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of related modeling building experience.
  • Experience in Deep Learning techniques, e.g. Transformers, LLM, VLM, vision transformers, transfer learning, LORA, PEFT, CNN, or NLP.
  • Experience using python and/or C/C++ with pytorch, jax, Scikit-learn, mlflow, huggingface.
  • Support multiple modalities such as spatial, 3D, and audio.
  • Experience working in a cloud-based Linux environment.
  • Experience using distributed computing a plus, e.g. DDP, FSDP, deepspeed.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently adapt to new concepts.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical techniques.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple analytic development tools, statistical tools, and programming languages.
  • Demonstrated experience innovating and extracting insights from multiple data types including unstructured data.
