The Operations and Supply Chain organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join our team in a critical Supplier Engineering role. This position will involve all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products. You will provide technical knowledge and process capability expertise to improve supplier performance, engaging in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives, and continuing through production implementation. In this role, you will ensure that technical data packages are complete and accurate, and that the supplier's technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost, and schedule. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve the manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers, initiating continuous and measurable design and process improvements of supplier hardware for affordability. This position is on-site at a location in Camden, AR, and requires a proactive approach to supplier engagement and technical evaluations to support cost and price analysis, manage product non-conformances, and drive root cause and corrective actions. You will also prioritize and execute improvement opportunities while communicating the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders, supporting travel as needed. This role is critical in ensuring that our suppliers meet the high standards required for our defense systems, contributing to the overall mission of Raytheon.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers
  • Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk
  • Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis
  • Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
  • Manage product non-conformances; Drive root cause and corrective action
  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
  • Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders
  • Support travel as needed

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • A minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
