In this role, you will be responsible for designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling. You will design the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout. Additionally, you will design the sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment, as well as other functions that affect product performance. Adapting machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions will also be a key part of your responsibilities. You may incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan and will be tasked with inspecting the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency. Investigating and initiating corrective action for problems and deficiencies will be essential to ensure product quality. You will develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques further. Providing guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques will also be part of your role. Ensuring that processes and procedures comply with regulations is a critical aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.

  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Requires a University Degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Implementation of Software releases into manufacturing associated to test automation
  • Knowledge of Capital equipment production (low volume, high complexity)
  • Production Software release/design transfer of Software into a production setting
  • Knowledge of capital equipment production with experience on motors and sensors and electro-mechanical assemblies
  • DMAIC and Lean manufacturing experience (Black belt certifications)
