About the position

The Principal National Account Executive is responsible for developing and executing commercial account strategies for key national distributors, GPOs, societies, and other customers within the National Supply & Care Delivery Team at Genentech. This role focuses on ensuring product access, advancing business objectives, and building relationships with aligned customers. The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and negotiation of agreements to support Genentech's product portfolio, with a strong emphasis on understanding customer needs and improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver commercial account strategies for key national distributors, GPOs, and societies.
• Lead key account engagement to ensure product access across the portfolio.
• Collaborate with Core Teams and Medical Affairs to understand customer capabilities and healthcare environment.
• Negotiate agreements with distribution, GPO, and super group customers.
• Define the commercial strategic vision for assigned accounts, aligning with Genentech strategies.
• Identify partnership opportunities and drive execution with partners.
• Provide expert advice and counsel across the Customer Engagement team regarding assigned national accounts.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 13+ years with a Master's degree, or 10+ years with a PhD/JD.
• In-depth knowledge of managed care strategy development and contracting.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy across complex healthcare environments.
• Cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences or related field.
