About the position

The Principal Network Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing next-generation networking technologies, deploying and supporting large-scale production networks, and providing escalated network support. This role requires a strong focus on capacity planning, fault management, and collaboration with various departments and vendors to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement next-generation networking technologies
• Deploy/support large-scale production network
• Track, analyze, and trend capacity on the broadcast network and datacenter infrastructure
• Provide Tier 3 escalated network support
• Perform fault management and problem resolution
• Work closely with other departments, vendors, and service providers
• Perform network change management, support modifications, and maintenance
• Perform network upgrade, maintenance, and repair work
• Lead implementation of new systems
• Perform capacity planning and management
• Suggest opportunities for improvement
• Create and support network management objectives, policies, and procedures
• Ensure network documentation is kept up-to-date
• Train and assist junior engineers

Requirements

• Routing - Switching, Load Balancers (GTM, RTM), Firewalls
• Cisco ACI - Design and Implementation
• Routing Protocols (BGP, EIGRP & OSPF), VRFs, VLANs, VRRP, LACP, MLAG, IP Multicast, VPC, Transit Gateway, NAT / SN Switching AT
• Security Groups, ACL, HSRP, VRRP, SNMP, DHCP
• AWS (VPC, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, Cloud WAN, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway)
