As a Principal Network Planner for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in expanding and scaling the next generation of Oracle Cloud services. This position is situated within our Global Network Planning Group, which is responsible for making strategic decisions that significantly impact network provider selection, network infrastructure investments, and new market entry. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business acumen and technical expertise, enabling them to make informed decisions that benefit both our customers and our products. In this role, you will leverage your technical knowledge to negotiate favorable commercial deals that align with Oracle's technical requirements and support our future growth objectives. A strong understanding of the broader Asia market is essential, along with established supplier relationships and local infrastructure knowledge. You will be tasked with developing accurate technical solutions in collaboration with our partners and effectively communicating those recommendations internally. The position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as you will represent Oracle Cloud to senior technical leaders and C-level executives at our partner organizations. Your responsibilities will include interpreting and evaluating relevant technical addenda in telecom contracts, negotiating commercial pricing and technical requirements for IP transit, wavelengths, and dark fiber, and solving complex engineering and diversity requirements, including detailed fiber route planning. Additionally, you will be expected to travel for site due diligence trips and industry conferences as necessary.
