About the position

The Principal Network Security Engineer will be the primary subject matter expert for network security tools and systems utilized by H&P. They will apply their knowledge in helping drive adoption and application of best practices, helping H&P make the right decisions on technology related projects and initiatives. The position is based in Tulsa, OK or Dallas, TX and follows a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Design and review network security posture
• Assist in maintaining the H&P network security infrastructure
• Maintain technical and process documentation for the network security infrastructure
• Follow the proposed change process and conduct peer review of changes to the network security infrastructure
• Direct our managed service provider to make changes to the network security infrastructure
• Assist in planning for future growth of the network security infrastructure
• Assist with troubleshooting
• Support the IT Governance and Response group (CIRT, Vulnerability Management, cyber tools administration, and Architecture) in the design, development, and documentation of technologies to support their objectives

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in Network Security
• Experience and proficient or better knowledge with the following Technologies/vendors: Palo Alto NGFW Stack, Palo Alto Global Protect and Prisma Access, F5 Distributed Cloud, LTM, GTM, Cisco ISE

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the following technologies/vendors: Network routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), IPSec Tunnels, Azure, OCI, and GCP firewalls, Certificate Lifecycle Management (AppViewX), Log Collection, ServiceNow
• Good understanding of the low level and high level design of network security infrastructure
• A strong understanding of Cyber security toolsets in support of Cyber Incident Response (CIRT) and Vulnerability Management teams/activities
