About the position

The Principal Network Solutions Engineer at Nakupuna Companies is a senior role focused on supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Network Modernization initiatives. This position involves leading engineering efforts for Base/Local Area Networks, fostering relationships with clients, and guiding the professional development of junior engineers. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic foresight, and exceptional interpersonal skills, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with current and future customers.
• Cultivate a client advocate reputation by establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Serve as the principal technical liaison between Nakupuna Companies and critical stakeholders.
• Spearhead the creation and standardization of processes for network solutions.
• Direct the professional development of junior and mid-level engineers.
• Lead by example in technical leadership and innovation across projects.
• Establish benchmarks and control mechanisms to monitor program progress.
• Support Sr. Network Engineers and Project Managers with network technology requirements.
• Develop and support comprehensive network solutions that integrate into the overall architecture.
• Lead complex infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting efforts.
• Design, stage, configure, implement, secure, and support network equipment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Network Engineering with advanced knowledge of networking protocols.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in designing and delivering enterprise-grade IT networking solutions.
• Experience designing and deploying Cisco Software Defined Access and Cisco DNA Center.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP certification preferred.
• Master's degree in a related field preferred.
