About the position

The Principal New Markets and Innovation Manager - Peripheral Vascular at Boston Scientific will lead the assessment of new and adjacent markets for the Peripheral Vascular Franchise. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure that early-stage investments are backed by strategic and financial rationale, while also representing the voice of the customer and developing commercial strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive plans to identify, evaluate, and recommend new and adjacent business opportunities.
  • Create robust and compelling data-driven business case proposals with clear conclusions and definitive recommendations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies and business cases for market entry and expansion.
  • Provide ad hoc decision support for critical strategic and operational business decisions within the Vascular franchise.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on all data sources to inform strategy and share best practices with the Marketing Strategy Team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute strategies with speed and quality.
  • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders and analyze feedback from various stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments to proactively adapt strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (coursework in Marketing, Strategy, Finance preferred)
  • 7+ years of related experience in Marketing, Strategy, Finance, Business Development, and/or Management Consulting (healthcare domain preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting assessments of sophisticated markets
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into a cohesive business plan
  • Experience with complex financial modeling, including market, revenue, and investment models
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to create compelling presentations that effectively communicate recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a dynamic, matrix environment
  • Effectiveness in building strong relationships internally and externally

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA and/or PhD preferred
  • 3+ years of upstream marketing, strategy, or related experience in developing new products preferred
