About the position

The Principal of the Multifamily Studio will lead a team of seven professionals in delivering high-quality designs for multifamily projects. This role involves overseeing project management, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and maintaining high standards throughout all phases of design and construction. The Principal will inspire team growth, drive strategic project solutions, and enhance client relationships in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of seven professionals in the Multifamily architectural studio.
• Oversee project management to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and municipal regulations across Texas.
• Manage the development of architectural and construction drawings for all phases of design (SD, DD, CD, and CA) using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Guide, mentor, and manage team members to maximize their strengths and foster professional growth.
• Collaborate with the company's leadership team to shape strategic direction and contribute insights to strengthen the firm's multifamily practice.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in all types of multifamily developments from LIHTC to Market Rate Projects.
• Working knowledge of building materials and assemblies, weatherproofing, detailing, site planning, civil, structural, mechanical, and acoustical engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Licensed Architect preferred
• Bachelor's and Master's degrees preferred.
