About the position

The Principal ERP Oracle FDI Developer at Providence Health & Services plays a crucial role in the optimization and enhancement of the organization's ERP and time-tracking systems, which support over 122,000 employees. This position is part of the Enterprise Business Applications team, which is dedicated to transforming the healthcare industry through innovative technology solutions. The developer will engage in the entire System Development Life-cycle (SDLC), which includes requirements gathering, design specification, code development, unit testing, integration testing, acceptance testing, and implementation support. The role requires a deep understanding of functional business processes in areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, and Supply Chain, as well as expertise in IT architectures, including cloud technologies and application security. As a Principal Developer, the individual will be responsible for creating application customizations and enhancements, developing integrations and interfaces, managing data conversions, and automating reporting and workflows. The position demands hands-on expertise with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), previously known as Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW), where the developer will create customized dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the role involves defining security updates for users and application roles, building ETLs using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and ensuring the integrity and security of data within the FDI/FAW environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills in Java Enterprise (JEE) and have experience with various technologies such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), ADF, MAF, JET, and micro-services. A background in public cloud infrastructure, including Oracle, AWS, and Azure, is also essential. This position is hybrid/remote, allowing for flexibility in work location, with potential travel requirements of up to 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical development services throughout the System Development Life-cycle (SDLC).
  • Gather requirements and create design specifications for application customizations and enhancements.
  • Develop code and perform unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Support implementation of developed solutions and provide ongoing maintenance.
  • Create and manage integrations and interfaces between systems.
  • Develop automated reporting and business/technical workflows.
  • Build ETLs using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for integration into the FDI/FAW environment.
  • Define FDI/FAW security updates for users, groups, and application roles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize ERP and time-tracking systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, or equivalent education/experience.
  • 10 years of experience as a systems analyst developer, including at least two years supporting Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, or Payroll.
  • 4 years of experience with Workforce Integration Manager (WIM).
  • Strong experience with Java Enterprise (JEE) programming.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) / Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Data Integration (ODI), ADF, MAF, JET, and micro-services.
  • Experience with test automation.
  • Strong public cloud infrastructure background, including Oracle, AWS, MS Azure, Google, and OpenStack variants.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Information Services, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience supporting Oracle Cloud/e-business HCM, Payroll, Supply Chain, and/or Finance.
  • Hands-on expertise with Oracle FAW and developing customized dashboards.
  • Prior healthcare industry knowledge.
