About The Position

The Principal People Partner at Remitly is a senior HR role responsible for managing human resources for a segment of the business based in Seattle. This position involves contributing to the global HR strategy, enhancing employee experience, and supporting business leaders in performance management, compensation planning, and employee relations. The role requires a strong focus on building relationships, coaching leaders, and driving initiatives that promote a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a startup or scaling environment.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and facilitate best decisions for employees and the business in a high growth environment.
  • A data-driven approach to diagnose challenges, identify appropriate solutions, and drive successful resolutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in making strategic HR decisions, coaching and assessing leadership talent, and effectively working with senior-level and front-line business leaders.
  • Experience in performance management, employee relations, and management capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business priorities into an HR agenda that improves team performance, employee engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for systematic improvements in organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
  • Develop deep trusting relationships with leaders to enable rich coaching, feedback, and data-driven innovative guidance to drive business outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion while maintaining a work environment where employees thrive and grow.
  • Liaise with the DEI team to support the creation, implementation, and measurement of global DEI initiatives.
  • Coach and influence leaders to effectively lead change initiatives in organizational design and structure.
  • Lead talent management and talent initiatives across the assigned business group that support managerial excellence and employee development.
