About the position

The Principal Photolithography Process Engineer at Raytheon will play a critical role in supporting fabrication operations by providing technical expertise in photolithography processes. This position involves working in a clean room environment alongside a diverse team of technicians and engineers to maintain and optimize existing processes, develop new strategies, and ensure the efficient operation of photolithography technologies. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining statistical process controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance production quality and throughput.

Responsibilities

  • Support fabrication operations by providing technical expertise in photolithography processes.
  • Work with a diverse team of technicians and engineers in a wafer fabrication clean room setting.
  • Maintain current processes, optimize existing processes, and train in safe and efficient operations of the photolithography process cell.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the control, development, and optimization of photolithography processes and equipment.
  • Maintain statistical process controls for process optimization; troubleshoot and resolve photolithography issues supporting the manufacturing process and improve work center process yields.
  • Research new suppliers and technologies for improving production, quality, end cost, and throughput.
  • Partner with mask design team and device design engineering teams to define and prove in new photo masks.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years' experience as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer in an Optics, Electro-Optics and/or Microelectronics environment.
  • Or an advanced degree with 5 years of Process or Manufacturing Engineer in an Optics, Electro-Optics and/or Microelectronics environment experience.
  • Experience with photoresist coaters, steppers, and developer equipment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience with sustaining existing photolithography processes to meet product specifications & manufacturing process flows, maintaining operating instructions for process and equipment.
