About the position

As a Principal PPA Solutions Engineer at Arm, you will be part of a team focused on developing solutions to enhance PPA (Power, Performance, Area) methodology and create tool flows for end-to-end convergence. This role involves collaboration with front-end and physical implementation teams to address design architecture, interfaces, timing, and power requirements, with a significant emphasis on scalability across advanced technology nodes and PPA trade-offs.

Responsibilities

  • CAD software development for delivering PPA at scale with the highest quality and system efficiency.
  • Exploring the latest trends in technology, algorithms, EDA automation, and analytics.
  • Developing strategy and roll-out for EDA tools roadmap and features.
  • Analyzing requirements, defining, and developing CAD solutions including external EDA tools integration.
  • Leading product implementation while collaborating closely with internal design teams, foundry, and partners.

Requirements

  • Strong experience and deep understanding of Timing, Power, Physical design.
  • Outstanding expertise in EDA tool-flows, PPA analysis, and designing solutions.
  • Experience with architecting and developing VLSI CAD Software and automation.
  • Strong coding proficiency in languages Python, C, Tcl.
  • Proficiency with version control systems like git, distributed processing, and disk management.
  • Ability to work with evolving problem statements and solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, team spirit, and effective collaboration with multi-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multi-die SoC design flows.
  • Experience with Data analytics, dashboards, and metrics.
