About the position

The Principal Pricing Strategy Analyst at Medtronic plays a crucial role in defining market value, driving revenue and profit optimization, and executing pricing governance and operations for a specific Operating Unit or Portfolio. This position is integral to the US Pricing Strategy Team, focusing on effective business decision-making to maximize financial results and optimize Average Selling Prices (ASPs). The analyst will engage in product launch strategies, pricing governance, and program management, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Define market value and drive revenue & profit optimization for a defined Operating Unit or Portfolio.
  • Execute pricing governance and operations, including advanced analytics and price management.
  • Develop pricing models to support product feature selection and portfolio development.
  • Perform revenue modeling to set new product price premiums considering customer segments.
  • Create execution plans and track metrics post-launch to evaluate performance.
  • Manage the pricing approval process with a focus on efficiency and adherence to policy.
  • Lead business partner for assigned OU/Portfolio and create quarterly analysis of price drivers and trends.
  • Analyze and monitor competitive pricing and market environment to refine strategies for growth.
  • Establish outcomes metrics to evaluate deal decisions and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate on initiatives across organizations to drive efficiency in processes, tools, and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience; or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Power Point, and Business Objects.
  • Experience in Pricing Governance and working with sales and contracting.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional role and navigate multiple stakeholders.
