As a Principal Process Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to provide manufacturing support and lead continuous improvement initiatives across various composite product lines. Your strategic thinking will be crucial in implementing new technologies through material selection and capital equipment investments, ensuring that our Advanced Composite Manufacturing factory remains the premier supplier of composite antennas for BAE Systems. Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing support for various composite product lines.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance production processes.
  • Utilize data-driven analysis to solve problems and improve production flow.
  • Implement new technologies through material selection and capital equipment expenditures.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in composite manufacturing.
  • Proven success in implementing changes within composite production processes.
  • Experience in analyzing composite manufacturing processes for continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Formal Six Sigma training (green belt preferred, black belt desired).
  • Knowledge of J-STD-001, IPC-610, AS9145 Specifications and Standards.
  • Current Secret Government clearance or ability to obtain one.
