About the position
The Principal Product Designer, Design Systems will play a crucial role in the Product Design team, focusing on creating scalable and innovative UX/UI components for complex enterprise SaaS applications. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions that adhere to industry standards and best practices. The designer will also be responsible for understanding customer needs and driving design innovation across multiple products.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute pixel-perfect, scalable UX/UI components and patterns for enterprise SaaS use cases.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Designers, Engineering, Content, Marketing, and Product Managers.
- Conduct stakeholder and customer interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gain insights into customer and business domains.
- Rapidly visualize and prototype multiple product directions, validating hypotheses and understanding business and technical impacts.
- Contribute to building best practices and a design-driven approach within the design organization and beyond.
- Instill a design-driven culture at Zscaler.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience as a Product or UX Designer for an enterprise SaaS product.
- 2-3 years of experience working on Design Systems with a proven track record of delivering world-class UX/UI components.
- Bachelor's degree in HCI or a related field.
- Proficiency in end-to-end product design including UX research, stakeholder communication, and visualizing user flows.
- Experience in creating low-fidelity wireframes and delivering high-fidelity designs using Figma.
- Ability to lead design hand-off and design-development pairing sessions, and perform design QA.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience designing UX for products in the Enterprise Cyber-security domain.
- Founding member of an enterprise-grade Design System.
- Experience building UI components in modern JS frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
