About the position

The Principal Product Designer for eCommerce at T-Mobile will lead the re-imagination and redesign of digital products across the enterprise. This role is pivotal in setting the product vision, designing new features, and enhancing existing ones while establishing scalable UX/UI patterns for both App and Web. The successful candidate will guide user-centered design activities and collaborate closely with business and product leaders to create innovative solutions that delight customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the UX Roadmap and strategy framework in partnership with key leaders and other Principal Designers.
  • Act as an evangelist for design thinking, demonstrating how design empowers better digital products.
  • Lead a design and user experience team in creating enterprise applications, design frameworks, and scalable interface assets.
  • Collaborate with Engineering leaders to identify tech possibilities and constraints.
  • Partner with Engineering to create opportunities for tech capabilities that enhance customer experience.
  • Provide constructive feedback on peer user experience design reviews.
  • Create high-level UX assets such as workflows, customer journey maps, and prototypes.
  • Solve complex customer experiences while building usable interfaces.
  • Collaborate with Researchers and other Principal designers to maintain consistency across the digital ecosystem.
  • Analyze research data to understand customer pain points and identify business opportunities.
  • Influence leadership by providing design recommendations backed by customer-centric data.
  • Guide, mentor, and inspire other designers in the team.
  • Work independently on projects with direction from Design Manager and Product Manager.
  • Create an environment that fosters collaboration and embraces challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in human-centered design, computer science, research, or related work experience in eCommerce.
  • 7+ years of experience in user experience, digital strategy, or product management.
  • 5+ years' experience working with Figma.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, presentation, data analysis, and storytelling skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • High level of executive accountability, initiative, and flexibility.
