As a Principal Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and art direction of TurboTax's brand. You will be responsible for crafting visual systems, innovative digital experiences, motion languages, and brand campaigns that resonate with our diverse audience. Your expertise in design and animation will be crucial in pushing the boundaries of brand storytelling and ensuring that our creative direction aligns with our mission of delivering exceptional tax experiences. In this role, you will collaborate closely with copywriters, product designers, strategists, and channel leads to develop big ideas that drive the visual identity across various brand touchpoints. You will leverage your audience-first approach to design, utilizing direct customer interviews to inspire creativity and ensure that our work is customer-obsessed. With over 8 years of relevant experience in visual design, you will bring deep knowledge of UI and UX design, typography, and current industry design and prototyping tools. Your strong strategic thinking and presentation skills will enable you to build alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional partners, ensuring that your ideas are effectively communicated and executed. As a leader within the creative team, you will inspire and guide your team with a strong point of view and creative vision. You will be responsible for concepting, iterating, prototyping, and testing to deliver strategic, elegant, and simple solutions. Your ability to balance multiple project assignments and business challenges with a steady disposition will be essential in managing client partnerships from project kickoff to timely delivery.
