About the position
The Principal Product Designer at Chime will play a crucial role in the Product Design team, focusing on creating innovative products that disrupt the financial industry. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design user-centered solutions that enhance the financial well-being of millions of Americans. The designer will act as a design evangelist, providing leadership and critique while contributing to the evolution of design standards within the company.
Responsibilities
- Act as an evangelist for design and our members.
- Partner with cross-functional colleagues to create products that bring positive change to our members' lives and grow the company.
- Provide design critique and offer leadership to others on the team.
- Use a human-centered design process to solve member problems.
- Contribute to our design standards and push them forward.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital and mobile experiences.
- A consistent record of building successful consumer mobile apps.
- A portfolio of industry-defining visual and interaction design samples.
- The ability to balance business objectives with user needs.
- Ability to take a first principles approach to sophisticated problems and articulate the decisions behind every design detail.
- A growth mindset, be an optimist, and be adaptable.
