About the position

The Principal Product Designer at Allvue Systems is responsible for leading the UX design process, ensuring that products are intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing. This role involves guiding the creation of a cohesive design system, conducting user research, and collaborating with product and development teams to enhance user satisfaction and product performance. The designer will also stay updated on industry trends and present findings to executive leadership, playing a pivotal role in shaping the user experience strategy across Allvue's software products.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the UX design process from concept to delivery, ensuring intuitive and visually appealing products.
  • Lead the creation of an Allvue Design System for a cohesive user interface and experience across products.
  • Conduct user research initiatives to gain insights into user behaviors and needs, translating findings into design solutions.
  • Facilitate service design workshops to optimize user interactions within and across software products.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to ensure seamless integration of UX design with product development.
  • Lead usability testing sessions, analyze results, and recommend improvements for user satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in UX design to keep Allvue competitive.
  • Present UX findings and design concepts to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of UX design experience, preferably in Enterprise B2B SaaS.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience integrating design within agile processes.
  • Experience leading projects with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch and Figma.
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing user-centered design thinking.
  • Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Familiarity with the financial technology (FinTech) sector is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and presentations.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and strategic thinking about user experience challenges.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Psychology, or a related field.
