About the position

The Principal Product Development (Product Line Manager) role at Elbit Systems of America involves leading the development and strategic direction of night vision technologies. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, translating customer needs into product requirements and guiding the integration of imaging sensors within the dismounted soldier kit. This position requires strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the night vision market, as well as collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the success of the Warfighter Systems business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Own a designated product group within the Warfighter Systems business unit.
  • Define requirements, design tradeoff guidance, feature prioritization, and strategic direction for night vision technology development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on product strategies to acquire new business.
  • Develop product offering business cases and execute the Warfighter Systems strategy with cross-functional teams.
  • Act as the customer advocate, translating customer needs into technical requirements and developing product offering strategies.
  • Author and socialize the product offering strategy/roadmap.
  • Analyze competitive strategies and provide competitive assessment advice to the business.
  • Advise engineering teams on the CONOPS and requirements for dismounted soldiers.
  • Define the components of the Warfighter Systems offering, including hardware and software components.
  • Determine system use cases and value-based pricing strategy for major projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with Warfighter Systems, night vision technology, optics, or equivalent experience.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
