About the position
The Principal Product Development (Product Line Manager) at Elbit Systems of America is a remote role focused on leading the development of night vision technologies. The successful candidate will serve as the subject matter expert, guiding product strategy, requirements, and market integration for the Warfighter Systems business unit. This position requires strong communication skills and a deep understanding of customer needs to translate them into actionable product development strategies.
Responsibilities
- Own a designated product group within the Warfighter Systems business unit.
- Define requirements, design tradeoff guidance, feature prioritization, and strategic direction for night vision technology development.
- Support remotely or on-site in the Roanoke, VA facility.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on product strategies to acquire new business.
- Develop product offering business cases.
- Work with Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations to execute the Warfighter Systems strategy.
- Oversee total Product Lifecycle Sustainment for maximum business efficiency.
- Translate customer needs into technical requirements and develop product offering strategies.
- Author and socialize the product offering strategy/roadmap.
- Analyze market problems and provide strategic direction based on market segment assessment.
- Provide expert guidance and leadership in support of Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Program Management, and Strategy.
- Monitor product development activities and lead product development Checkpoint reviews.
- Define Product Design Priorities and establish Production Cost Targets.
- Support proposal preparation and submission, and customer relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience with Warfighter Systems, night vision technology, optics, or equivalent experience.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
