About the position

The Principal Product Development (Product Line Manager) at Elbit Systems of America is responsible for leading the night vision technology development within the Warfighter Systems business unit. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert, translating customer needs into product requirements, and providing strategic direction for product offerings. The candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful execution of product strategies and maintain the company's position as an industry leader in night vision technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own a designated product group within the Warfighter Systems business unit.
• Define requirements, design tradeoff guidance, feature prioritization, and strategic direction for night vision technology development.
• Support remotely or on-site in the Roanoke, VA facility.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on product strategies to acquire new business.
• Develop product offering business cases.
• Work with Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations to execute the Warfighter Systems strategy.
• Oversee total Product Lifecycle Sustainment for maximum business efficiency.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements and develop product offering strategies.
• Author and socialize the product offering strategy/roadmap.
• Analyze competitive strategies and provide competitive assessment advice to the business.
• Advise engineering teams on the CONOPS and requirements for dismounted soldiers.
• Define the components of the Warfighter Systems offering, including hardware and software components.
• Determine system use cases and value-based pricing strategy for major projects.
• Lead product development Checkpoint reviews, showing ROI of R&D funds.
• Monitor product development activities and define Product Design Priorities.
• Support proposal preparation and submission, and customer relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience with Warfighter Systems, night vision technology, optics, or equivalent experience.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
