About the position

The Principal Product Lead for Globalization at Ford Motor Company is a strategic leadership role focused on overseeing a team of Product Managers responsible for a significant portion of the e-commerce platform. This position involves defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals while maximizing business impact. The role requires a strong background in e-commerce product management and leadership, with an emphasis on innovation and collaboration across various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned product areas, aligning with overall company objectives and market trends.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps, prioritizing features and initiatives based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.
  • Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders across various departments (engineering, marketing, sales, etc.).
  • Prioritize and manage multiple product initiatives simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, encouraging the team to explore new ideas and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in eCommerce Product Management.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role managing a team of Product Managers or Product Owners.
  • 3+ years of experience in successfully launching and scaling products in a full-funnel e-commerce environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field.
  • Modern website architecture experience leveraging reusable componentry and design system.
  • Deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, including key metrics, best practices, and competitive dynamics.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
