About the position

The Principal Product Management Manager role at Microsoft focuses on leading the security detection strategy for the Azure Cloud. This position is critical in ensuring the security of Azure's infrastructure and services against evolving cyber threats. The role involves building and nurturing a talented team of Security Product Managers and Analysts, collaborating with various teams to develop advanced detection capabilities, and driving the overall security strategy for Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of outstanding product managers and security analysts.
  • Collaborate with Security Research and Engineering teams to build detection strategies to protect Azure.
  • Develop detections to identify threat actor activities and evict them from the environment before they cause damage to the Azure platform.
  • Collaborate with Security teams across Microsoft to deliver excellence through strategy, execution, and delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product or program management OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in security.
  • Solid technical knowledge of cloud security solutions for large-scale environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • Written and verbal communication/presentation skills at all levels of the organization, technical and non‐technical.
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams to deliver high-impact results.
  • Experience as a key contributor towards designing, shipping, and operating large-scale, cloud services.
  • Experience in building and growing diverse teams with strong people development skills.
  • Project management, leadership, and cross‐group collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, plan, and execute.
