About the position
The Principal Product Manager - AI Frameworks at Microsoft will lead the development of AI software that enables running AI models across various platforms, including supercomputers, servers, and mobile devices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute opportunities that enhance performance and cost efficiency in AI frameworks. The position requires a strong background in product management and deep learning, with a focus on building platforms that optimize AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Drive product requirements definition, product planning, and product design for new features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, finance, marketing, and business development to assess and prioritize opportunities.
- Lead product development with a team of engineers and designers to bring features live to the service.
- Anticipate, identify, and mitigate blockers to success goals.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of product efforts.
- Identify new areas of opportunity for product investment and drive continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in deep learning, machine learning, and/or AI.
Nice-to-haves
- Proven ability to work well in a matrixed environment and with ambiguity.
- Ability to articulate ideas to customers, engineers, and executives.
- Familiarity with fundamentals of deep learning and AI.
- Familiarity with distributed systems at scale.
- Hands-on use of development tools for AI models and their lifecycle.
- Knowledge of deep learning optimization and acceleration techniques.
