About The Position

The Principal Product Manager for Corporate Strategy at Dynatrace plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's M&A, strategic partnerships, and investment strategies. This position focuses on identifying and evaluating potential companies and market segments to enhance Dynatrace's mission, driving proactive product and market strategies while supporting M&A execution. The role requires collaboration with product leaders, investment banks, and venture capital firms to build a competitive market strategy for strategic acquisitions and investments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or Business Development with a focus on Enterprise Technology.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
  • Ability to anticipate market shifts and identify emerging trends.
  • Experience working closely with product teams to align investment thesis with product roadmap.
  • Established network and proven ability to build relationships with founders, VCs, and product leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute multiple projects and deals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in DevOps, ITOM, and Security sectors.
  • Strong presentation skills for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a product acceleration strategy prioritizing strategic adjacencies and categories for potential investment.
  • Conduct in-depth market and competitive assessments to identify growth opportunities and category potential.
  • Develop strategic framing of market opportunities for identified M&A categories, including value propositions and revenue growth pathways.
  • Lead a research-oriented outbound sourcing strategy for strategic businesses and acquisitions.
  • Build a network of investment banks and venture capital firms to increase brand awareness and deal flow.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify high-impact acquisition opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of potential acquisition targets.
  • Attend industry conferences to stay informed on emerging trends and strengthen market positioning.
  • Serve as a liaison between Product and Corporate Development during M&A processes.
  • Provide strategic M&A recommendations to executive leadership and the board.
  • Support valuation analyses, term sheet negotiations, and M&A execution.
