About the position

Join the development team as a central resource and driving force for our database development tools and services. This role involves designing, building, evangelizing, supporting, and documenting the product, ensuring that all aspects are executed effectively. You will work closely with internal and external customers to identify challenges and opportunities in the development, deployment, and monitoring of database applications, while also collaborating with various teams to ensure product success.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal and external customers to identify challenges and opportunities around database applications.
• Communicate requirements to development teams and provide UI and UX feedback during the development process.
• Evangelize technology externally and assist customers in utilizing our products and services effectively.
• Collaborate with Support, Documentation, and QA teams, acting as the face of R&D internally and externally.
• Own the continuous deployment roadmap for applications that support Oracle's Database Products.
• Partner closely with Directors, SVPs, and UX to drive consensus among technical stakeholders.
• Conduct market analysis and research emerging technologies while maintaining awareness of industry trends.
• Present to customers and communities at online and in-person events.
• Create collateral such as presentations, technical briefs, blog posts, and video tutorials.
• Own the product roadmap and work with development managers to set release targets for new features.

Requirements

• Experience in product development and customer engagement.
• Strong understanding of back-end infrastructure and familiarity with coding and scripting.
• Proficiency with tools such as Terraform, GitHub, SQL, and high-availability systems.
• Ability to perform market analysis and research new technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in creating technical documentation and tutorials.
• Familiarity with cloud solutions and database management.
