About the position

The Principal Product Manager for Financial Services at DocuSign is responsible for defining a multi-year strategy and leading the development of product capabilities tailored to the needs of Financial Services customers. This role involves understanding customer pain points, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions that enhance the customer experience. The position requires direct engagement with customers to validate solutions and market needs, ensuring that DocuSign's offerings effectively address the challenges faced by the Financial Services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for delivering product capabilities and solutions for Financial Services customers
  • Facilitate customer engagements to validate solutions and market needs within Financial Services
  • Drive the vision and requirements, translating them to functional specifications for product development teams
  • Leverage primary and secondary research to deepen understanding of Financial Services customers
  • Own insights on the market, staying abreast of industry trends and anticipating customer needs
  • Understand key personas and jobs to be done within Financial Services by working closely with customers and User Research
  • Profile high value, innovative use cases implemented by key Financial Services customers
  • Work with the Business Development team to identify critical partners for scaling Financial Services offerings
  • Monitor, measure, and report on key business and customer metrics in collaboration with Data Science
  • Evaluate and prioritize product roadmap and backlogs for effective release and sprint planning
  • Facilitate requirements definition across teams to create developer-ready epics and user stories
  • Partner with Program Management, Design, and Engineering to ensure timely and quality product delivery
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Pricing, Sales, Support, Legal, Security, and other teams on successful go-to-market strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related area of study (CS, EE, IT, Systems, MIS, etc.)
  • 15 years in product management for SaaS products and services with a Bachelor's degree; or 12+ years with a Master's degree; or equivalent experience
  • Track record in product management for Financial Services focused products
  • Experience building consensus for new product capabilities/innovations
  • Background working with cross-functional teams
  • Direct experience in delivering product using iterative or Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Informatics
  • Demonstrated success managing large scale technology products tailored to Financial Services
  • Strong customer focus through qualitative and quantitative measures
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and prioritize work
  • Excellent executive presence, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and productivity
  • Experience building and using telemetry for data-driven decisions
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed environment influencing multiple partners
  • Strong track record of building lasting, cross-functional partnerships
  • Experience in consulting, marketing, or related business disciplines involving compliance or regulatory controls
