About the position

As the Principal Product Manager for Mailchimp Growth, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how businesses leverage the Mailchimp ecosystem to drive growth and enhance customer engagement. This position focuses on developing intelligent, integrated multi-channel solutions aimed at improving customer retention and onboarding, utilizing advanced AI and machine learning technologies to optimize the customer journey in digital marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own both high-level roadmap and detailed delivery plans for advanced digital marketing functionality across the entire Mailchimp customer acquisition, conversion, and retention lifecycle.
  • Interact with small and medium businesses to understand pain points, collect requirements, and seek a deep understanding of growth marketing needs.
  • Use a data/metrics-driven product development approach; define success criteria for roadmap items and demonstrate measurable impact on key performance indicators.
  • Manage prioritization of strategic features and capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with existing third-party systems.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that eliminate silos and enable the entire organization to deliver on Mailchimp growth strategies.
  • Influence key stakeholders and lead change in product strategy, design approaches, and AI adoption.
  • Mentor and coach aspiring product managers, accelerating AI adoption in marketing contexts and fostering a culture of innovation.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of Product Management experience in a top tech company, MarTech company, or innovative technology startup, with a focus on B2B SaaS, advertising tech, and/or ecommerce tools.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and advertising principles, best practices in conversion rate optimization, and their application across the entire customer journey.
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and data-driven decision making in the context of feature development.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and stakeholders across various organizational levels.
  • Passion for creating innovative solutions that solve real marketing challenges and drive marketing success.
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork, and execution skills with the ability to drive work to completion in a fast-paced product environment.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in marketing and advertising contexts, particularly in enhancing customer interactions with predictive analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or software engineering background is a plus.
