About the position

The Principal Product Manager for Inventory Management is a strategic role focused on leading the vendor selection process and implementing a new inventory management solution. This position requires extensive experience in product management, particularly within the retail industry, and involves managing the RFP process and ensuring successful product launches that drive business growth.

Responsibilities

• Key owner of the RFP process and inventory management solution selection process
• Lead the implementation of a new inventory management solution

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product management - hands-on with stakeholder management, requirements gathering, writing user stories, and partnering with development teams
• 5+ years of experience (recently) in the retail industry, specific niche around inventory management
• Demonstrated experience managing the implementations of an enterprise inventory management system
• Experience being a part of an RFP for an inventory management solution
• Proven track record of launching successful products and driving business growth
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse set of business and technology partners

• Experience around Demand Forecasting: Segmentation to run defined forecast methods/settings based on SKU variability, velocity and time selling
• Order Recommendation and Creation: Vendor to Store replenishment; Vendor to DC replenishment
