About the position

The Transaction Systems Platform Product Manager at Walmart will lead the development and execution of a multi-year roadmap for Directed Spend, Payments, Checkout, and Promotions across various platforms. This role focuses on leveraging data science and machine learning to enhance e-commerce safety and improve customer experiences. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and software developers, to drive product innovation and achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and lead the multi-year roadmap for Directed Spend, Payments, Checkout, and Promotions.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to influence product direction.
  • Analyze large datasets and develop dashboards to derive insights.
  • Conduct industry and competitive analysis to ensure best-in-class offerings.
  • Define vision and strategies for product content creation at Walmart.
  • Build collaborative relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage the establishment of new processes and tools for product imagery.
  • Develop and lead associates across multiple geographic locations.
  • Communicate complex technical issues clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Prioritize product features and manage competing priorities effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science and 5 years' technical program management experience OR Master of Science and 2 years' technical program management experience OR 9 years' technical program management experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work in technical product management.
  • Experience in payments, retail, or financial services as a technical product manager.
  • Strong understanding of large-scale systems and service-oriented architecture.
  • Ability to lead and drive consensus in a matrix organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or equivalent in experience.
  • 8+ years in Technical Program Management.
  • Experience in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
