About the position

As a Principal Product Manager for Tech at Amazon, you will drive the roadmap for Amazon Echo devices, defining and delivering the next generation of products in the home. This role requires collaboration across various teams including engineering, design, operations, and finance to bring innovative features to market and enhance business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, empathetic leader, and results-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, capable of synthesizing diverse technologies into user-friendly products that resonate with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and strategy for Amazon Echo.
  • Define, build, and launch the next generation of Echo devices.
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet goals.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
  • Define use cases, requirements, and prioritization for Echo device capabilities.
  • Work with partner teams to deliver new and creative Alexa experiences through devices.
  • Develop detailed business requirements and user stories for product specifications.
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support load.
  • Work closely with engineering teams and program management to deliver products to market.
  • Drive product launches including collaboration with public relations and executives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product or program management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions.
  • Experience in technical product management.
