About the position

As a Principal Product Manager - Technical at Amazon, you will lead the definition and development of product vision and roadmap for new subscription business model offerings. This role focuses on innovating customer experiences and facilitating business growth through collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams. You will analyze customer feedback, manage product capabilities, and present strategies to senior management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality features that enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative software and services that enable purchase and management of subscriptions and memberships.
  • Partner with software engineering, digital clients, Customer Service, Marketing, and business intelligence teams to create best-in-class solutions for customers.
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand and improve product capabilities.
  • Analyze customer feedback and usage metrics to identify key pain points.
  • Build innovative concepts and successfully champion them through senior management and stakeholder leadership teams.
  • Work successfully across digital businesses to ship new features and add meaningful customer experience updates.
  • Manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
  • Present confidently to senior management, external clients, and other large audiences.
  • Roll up sleeves as necessary to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet our high standards of quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience in technical product management
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
  • Technical fluency; ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
  • 5+ years of product management experience working on end consumer technology products
  • 3+ years designing and maintaining a strategic product roadmap with measurable outcomes
  • 2+ years designing and analyzing experiments in a consumer product space (aka a/b or multi-variate testing)
  • 2+ years experience working on Quality, Stability, and/or Performance related programs/efforts
  • 2+ years of experience collaborating with partner teams to align and drive on cross-organizational goals
