About the position

The Principal Product Manager Technical for the Ads AI Assistant at Amazon is responsible for leading the development of innovative generative AI-driven solutions that enhance the advertiser experience. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including scientists and designers, to create cutting-edge conversational experiences that leverage natural language processing. The position requires a strategic vision for product development, focusing on customer needs and industry advancements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with leading scientists to develop prototypes and validate new concepts.
• Craft AI-first experiences by working closely with designers, scientists, and cross-functional teams.
• Develop a strategic vision for generative AI solutions that address customer and advertiser needs.
• Create various product artifacts, such as shaping documents, BRDs, PR FAQs, and more.
• Analyze voice-of-the-customer feedback and quality benchmark results to inform decision-making.
• Stay up-to-date with industry publications and new developments in the field.
• Ship gen AI products with significant customer and advertiser impact.
• Conduct customer interviews and deep dive into Gen AI tools and data.
• Review the latest in Gen AI tech to stay up to date on advancements.
• Quarterback a cross-functional team through design, development, and launch.

Requirements

• 4+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience.
• 8+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
• Experience in technical product management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements.
