About the position

As a Principal Product Manager - Technical for Amazon Seller Wallet, you will take on the role of General Manager for an expanding international payments business that operates across multiple countries. Your primary responsibility will be to build and grow the business and product roadmap, ensuring that the product meets the needs of customers and sellers alike. You will lead a team of product and program managers, guiding them in defining and delivering a comprehensive roadmap and program enhancements that align with the overall business strategy. In this role, you will actively manage a Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and collaborate with dedicated functional teams, including data science, engineering, marketing, sales, operations, finance, legal, and compliance. Your ability to partner effectively with these teams will be crucial in optimizing the business and ensuring successful product delivery. Additionally, you will manage the overall strategy and partnerships with external partners such as banks and payment service providers, which will require strong negotiation and relationship management skills. Every day in this position will present new challenges and opportunities, as you will have the autonomy to make decisions that drive the business forward. You will be responsible for collaborating with partner teams, escalating issues as necessary, and actively working towards your defined goals. The mission of the Amazon Currency Converter team is to enable customers and sellers to transact in their preferred currency and method, and you will play a key role in achieving this mission. Responsibilities

• Manage a team of product and program managers to define and deliver a roadmap and program enhancements.
• Actively manage a P&L and partner with functional teams to optimize the business.
• Collaborate with external partners such as banks and payment service providers to manage overall strategy and partnerships.
• Own the product roadmap strategy and definition, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Work directly with engineers on product enhancements and feature delivery.
• Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to influence and prioritize initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Proven experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Strong technical product management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and communicate effectively across teams.
• Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.

• Experience in managing international payments or financial products.
