About the position

The Principal Product Manager - Technical at Amazon will lead the Query Understanding (QU) team, focusing on creating innovative search solutions that enhance customer shopping experiences. This role involves defining the vision and strategy for new products, leveraging machine learning to understand customer intents behind search queries, and collaborating with global teams to deliver high-quality search experiences. Responsibilities

• Create the vision and strategy for the Query Understanding team's new products.
• Drive the execution of product initiatives to enhance customer shopping experiences.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and prioritize product needs.
• Contribute to engineering discussions regarding technology decisions and product strategy.
• Manage the roadmap strategy and definition for product features.
• Deliver results through a strong bias for action and customer obsession.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product or program management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Proven track record of owning and driving roadmap strategy.
• Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in project management methodologies and business analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with search engines or recommender systems.
