About the position

The Principal Product Manager for EC2 Core at Amazon Web Services is responsible for leading product management for the EC2 Console, which is a critical interface for customers to manage their cloud infrastructure. This role involves setting the vision for the console, collaborating with engineering and UX teams, and enhancing the user experience for millions of customers. The position requires strategic thinking, technical acumen, and a strong focus on delivering large-scale, customer-facing features in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product management for the EC2 Console, setting the vision and strategy for the product.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, and other product management leaders to enhance the console experience.
  • Deliver large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products, managing the full product lifecycle from concept to go-to-market.
  • Drive metrics-driven decision making and experimentation to improve user experience.
  • Engage with AWS leadership to ensure high visibility and impact of the console product.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, or IT.
  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products.
  • Strong technical breadth and depth, including familiarity with software-defined networking and virtualization.
  • Proven ability to influence others and strong analytical thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Master's in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics.
  • Prior experience as a software developer or UX designer.
  • Experience in a scale-up environment where priorities shift rapidly.
