Project Kuiper is Amazon's initiative to launch a constellation of low-earth orbit satellites to provide high-speed, low-latency broadband internet service globally. The team you will be joining, Global Network Transport Services group, is responsible for delivering the network capabilities and APIs that enable seamless connectivity for Kuiper customers. Our team owns the network transit services and related network capabilities that unlock customer value across all Kuiper verticals (Government, Consumer, Enterprise). This includes services like public internet access, private cloud connectivity, on-premises customer links, and layer 2 transit. The team partners closely with Kuiper's business units to identify high-value connectivity needs and develop innovative network services to meet customer needs. You will be responsible for driving the technical vision and roadmap for Kuiper's network transport services. This includes defining the core network transport services and APIs that will power connectivity for all Kuiper customers, working closely with engineering to design and deliver highly scalable, reliable, and performant network capabilities, and ensuring tight alignment between the network services and the needs of Kuiper's vertical business units. You will also identify opportunities to create unique, high-value network services that drive adoption and usage of the Kuiper network, partner with other Amazon teams like AWS to unlock synergies and deliver seamless networking experiences for customers, and define the operational model and key performance metrics for the global network transport services. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in networking and distributed systems, as well as experience driving the strategy and execution of complex infrastructure products. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels are also essential.
