About the position

The Amazon Publisher Monetization Prime Video SVOD Ads team is seeking an experienced product leader to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for innovative video advertising products that will engage both advertisers/agencies and viewers. As the video advertising landscape becomes increasingly complex, with numerous technologies and players, the industry is rapidly evolving. Viewers are transitioning from traditional TV to Streaming TV, and publishers are integrating video content into their online platforms to capture market share. Prime Video is uniquely positioned to lead in this space due to its premium video content, extensive customer reach, and valuable Amazon audience insights. This role presents a significant opportunity for a product leader to shape market-differentiated products and experiences. To excel in this position, candidates must be customer-obsessed, eager to understand customer needs, and passionate about creating delightful experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a high tolerance for ambiguity, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to influence stakeholders at senior levels across the organization. A solid background in product management, particularly in leading medium to large-scale products and projects, is essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of advertising technologies and market players. The role requires a proactive approach, where the candidate can both strategize at a high level and engage in hands-on execution. Responsibilities include identifying customer-driven requirements, prioritizing product roadmap implementations, supporting product development efforts, and crafting effective go-to-market strategies. The candidate will also define and monitor success metrics to evaluate product performance, playing a crucial role in the future of Prime Video SVOD Advertising globally.

Responsibilities

  • Dive deep into understanding the voice of advertisers and how they leverage streaming TV advertising to drive their business goals
  • Define the strategic vision for new product features in different locales by working backwards from customer needs
  • Write Business Requirements Documents that drive the technical design and alignment on product launch deliverables
  • Author 1, 4 and 6 page documents communicating your plans to internal stakeholders from across and at all levels within Amazon
  • Work with product, engineering and program management to develop, prioritize, and deliver the product roadmap with key input-based goals to drive outcomes that meet our advertisers' goals as well as our growth goals
  • Think outside the box and experiment autonomously with meaningful projects
  • Create a roadmap for proof-of-concept launches to prove out the business model and innovative ideas
  • Partner with Business teams, Sales, Product Marketing to deploy effective go-to-market strategies that drive advertiser adoption
  • Engage with cross-company business and product leaders to build and execute on strategic plans aligned with long-term objectives
  • Define the success metrics for features or services and track performance. Utilize metrics to dive deep on issues and uncover business trends and anomalies

Requirements

  • 4+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years experience in Ad Tech

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
