About the position

The Principal Product Manager, Advanced Stapling - US Marketing is responsible for leading marketing programs and strategies to drive sales growth and income objectives for Medtronic's Advanced Surgical Instruments. This role involves establishing relationships with internal and external customers, executing product marketing launches, and identifying business opportunities to enhance market share and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of promotional strategies and sales support materials to grow market share.
  • Own market strategy across the full Stapling portfolio to effectively position products across US customer segments.
  • Identify and execute business opportunities through new products, educational programs, and customer services.
  • Partner with internal and external functions to market assigned products, providing marketing support and strategic direction.
  • Evaluate opportunities related to current and future needs by gathering customer feedback and monitoring procedural trends.
  • Lead product launch activities, including content creation and sales education programs.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with internal and external customers, including the US salesforce and distributor teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in marketing, market development, or sales, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or R&D MBA.
  • Medical Device experience.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Veeva, and Workfront.
  • Strong understanding of medical marketing and hospital buying processes.
  • Experience in product and/or procedural marketing within the medical device industry.
  • Proven skill in creating and analyzing business/marketing plans and strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver product presentations and train employees and customers.
