About the position

The Principal Product Manager at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for defining and driving the strategic direction of the company, particularly in the hematology sector. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with senior leadership to align the company's strategy with its long-term goals. The position requires a forward-thinking, analytical leader with a strong background in strategic planning and execution, and it is part of the Product Management team located in Miami, FL, with remote work options.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a new global biomarker strategy to expand the addressable market for hematology by up to $3B.
  • Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives and projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Lead the strategic planning process and ensure alignment across the organization, including regulatory and reimbursement strategies.
  • Work closely with various departments to lead strategic alignment and successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and report outcomes to executives.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred with 14+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering results.
  • Solid understanding of FDA requirements and product development process guidelines in a global regulatory environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Related experience with hematology products.
  • Experience in the medical device industry or IVD regulated environment.
