About the position

The Principal Product Manager at T-Mobile is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the development and execution of complex products and services. This role involves identifying customer needs, ensuring technical feasibility, and aligning business objectives to deliver innovative solutions. The Principal Product Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage product roadmaps, and drive product strategy to enhance customer experiences and achieve business results.

Responsibilities

  • Owns product end to end for complex or cross-platform solutions for products of the highest level of complexity and scope.
  • Creates, manages, maintains, and communicates product vision and roadmap.
  • Identifies target customers for existing or future products and designs end-user product research.
  • Partners with business and internal/external stakeholders to understand current customer experiences and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Conducts analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to identify product innovation opportunities or root causes of issues.
  • Leverages rapid hypothesis-driven testing methodologies and experiments to inform direction and prioritize investment.
  • Conducts cost-benefit/ROI/NPV analysis and competitive product analysis to support decision-making.
  • Communicates, influences, and sells ideas at SVP/EVP/C-Level and below, including delivering product presentations.
  • Owns product feature set and positioning strategies to improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and Dev/Execution teams to create and communicate anticipated release schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • More than 10 years of relevant product management experience in an agile software product development environment.
  • Demonstrated mastery of business side skills including communication, customer research, product vision, and feature definition.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and synthesize product use data to drive decisions.
  • Mastery level understanding of customer experience management.
  • Proven success in directing matrixed resources and delivering software using Agile Scrum methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data science to answer complex questions or identify meaningful insights from data.
  • Experience in conducting market research and generating product requirements.
