About the position

The Principal Product Trainer at Northrop Grumman is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in aircraft systems and conducting on-site instruction and task training for customer maintainers. This role involves resolving complex aircraft maintenance discrepancies, utilizing ground support equipment, and ensuring compliance with maintenance operations policies. The position requires strong collaboration with military customers and maintaining training records, while also adapting courseware as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in aircraft systems and on-site instruction for customer maintainers.
  • Assist customers with resolving complex aircraft maintenance discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Utilize aircraft ground support equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Learn other specialties for total team performance in aircraft build and maintenance roles.
  • Conduct maintenance operations in accordance with regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Conduct on-aircraft task training for maintainers.
  • Coordinate training schedules with military customers.
  • Provide training completion records to military service representatives.
  • Maintain courseware instruction and conduct periodic reviews of course material.
  • Establish strong working relationships with contract and military customers.

Requirements

  • Must have 9 years of F-35 experience or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of applied experience, or a master's degree with 3 years of experience.
  • 4 years of hands-on military aircraft airframe, powerplants, and/or air vehicle systems maintenance experience.
  • Must provide historical training records and/or certificates for aircraft technical training courses.
  • US Air Force Red X certified 5 or 7-skill level, US Navy/Marine Corps CDI/CDQAR, or equivalent FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) License required.
  • A current Secret or higher Clearance is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain Special Access Program clearance as required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Able to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive movements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with working multiple aircraft and programs simultaneously.
  • Lead Production Supervisor or Maintenance Control Supervisor experience.
  • Highly skilled in using MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Experience identifying and procuring consumables, HAZMAT, tooling, and spare parts for operations.
  • Experience developing courseware and training products.
