About the position

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage Yahoo Mail cloud infrastructure.
• Migrate large-scale on-prem applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Administer and maintain cloud infrastructure, including on-call support and monitoring.
• Automate deployment processes and establish CI/CD pipelines.
• Create reusable cloud infrastructure templates using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, and Infrastructure in Cloud environments, preferably GCP.
• Proven experience with large-scale applications, computer systems, and networks.
• Proficiency in Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP, MAIL protocols, DNS, and CDN.
• Experience managing GCP services, including Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Compute Engine (GCE).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm Charts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud databases and storage platforms like Cloud SQL and Firestore.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning and AI platforms such as Vertex AI and BigQuery.
• Knowledge of cloud observability and OpenTelemetry.
• Programming skills in Python, Golang, or Java.
