About the position

The Principal Professional in Products Planning at Marvell Semiconductor will play a crucial role in the Supply Chain Planning group, collaborating with global cross-functional teams to support corporate revenue goals and manage on-time delivery expectations. This position involves managing external vendors and internal project management, ensuring optimal supply for chip projects, and leading supply functions for complex new products.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams including Business Operations, Marketing, Engineering, and Suppliers.
  • Manage outside vendors for chip projects including foundry, assembly, testing, and warehousing.
  • Coordinate instructions for vendors, schedule materials, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Update project dashboards using Oracle tools and proprietary Marvell software for internal team visibility.
  • Create official updates for suppliers with instructions and specifications on tasks or supplies needed.
  • Attend and moderate meetings to provide or receive status updates, particularly with overseas staff during project phases.
  • Lead all supply functions on complex new products to successfully deliver customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Math, Business Operations, or similar field, plus 5 - 15 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present information clearly and filter out extraneous details.
  • Experience in supply chain planning, with the ability to explain past challenges and solutions.
  • Coursework in data analytics or statistics is preferred.
  • Ability to lead supply chain activities for complex programs and effectively communicate with customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle tools and proprietary software for project management.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and forecasting techniques.
