About the position

The Principal Program Budget Analyst II/III position at the Department of Finance is a critical role that involves supervising the development, analysis, review, and formulation of recommendations regarding budgetary, fiscal, and policy matters. Under the general direction of the Assistant Program Budget Manager, the incumbent will serve as the primary contact for Finance with one or more departments, developing expert fiscal and program knowledge in their assigned area. This role requires the identification of policy and program issues that warrant the initiation of program analysis projects, and collaboration with the assigned department(s) in the preparation of the Governor's Budget. The incumbent will also advise the Director of Finance and the Governor's Office on fiscal and policy decisions related to programs and legislation. They will have the final authority to approve a wide range of financial documents that require Finance approval and will represent Finance at legislative hearings. Responsibilities

  • Supervise the development, analysis, review, and formulation of budgetary recommendations.
