About the position

The Principal Program Manager for Global Logistics at Amazon is responsible for driving major logistics product launches and strategic growth initiatives within the import and domestic transportation sectors. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to enhance Amazon's freight forwarder product and service areas, ensuring successful implementation and expansion of logistics solutions. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of global logistics by collaborating with diverse teams and senior leadership to deliver innovative solutions that improve Amazon's transportation network.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute complex project plans for major growth initiatives
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams, including finance, legal, operations, and marketing
  • Create and implement Go-To-Market strategies for new product launches
  • Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular updates to VP-level leadership
  • Identify and mitigate risks across multiple interdependent workstreams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, or marketing
  • 7+ years of program or project management experience
  • 7+ years of experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Proficiency in data analysis and using metrics to drive decision-making
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget, and quality
  • MBA
  • PMP certificate
  • 5+ years of experience working in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
  • Experience with global logistics operations and international trade regulations
  • Knowledge of Amazon's logistics network and e-commerce operations
  • Proven ability to launch new products or services in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity
